*The data is simultaneously collected for optical path-lengths 0.001 to 1 mm, and presented to user “as if” the acquisitions occurred using a 1 mm optical path-length. Unlike other UV monitors, the chromatogram data collected by the RD2 detector does not plateau when concentrations of UV-absorbing compounds are high, allowing the user to see true analyte peaks as they leave the column.


  • The RD2 detector measures UV absorption at 250nm and 280nm wavelengths simultaneously, using a single, embedded flow cell. The measurements are thermally compensated.
  • UV LED light sources provide over a decade of consistent function while eliminating warm-up time.
  • UV light intensity is temperature-independent to minimize long-term drift.
  • Flow rates from 0.1 to 300 ml/min.
  • Can be used continuously for pressures up to up to 2500 psi (170 bar).
